What StanAware Can Do For You

StanAware is the Stanislaus County Office of Emergency Services communications system that allows the public to be contacted directly in case of a large-scale emergency and keep local citizens informed in the event of an emergency or disaster.

StanAware utilizes the Everbridge Mass Notification System in use by many other government agencies, universities and corporations. In the event of an emergency or disaster, residences and businesses within Stanislaus County can be contacted by telephone, text or email with emergency alert information. The Stanislaus County Office of Emergency Services can send a message regarding a situation to residences and businesses within a certain geographical area(s) that will contain special notice and instructions to be followed by citizens in the area. Emergencies are defined as situations or impending situations caused by forces of nature, accident or an intentional act that constitutes a danger of major proportions to life and property.

Information used by the system database is maintained in a secured database. If you would like to register your contact information (i.e. mobile numbers, email address, text devices, TTY device, etc.) to receive messages when emergencies occur in your residential or business area, please visit the Everbridge Member Portal to create an account and register your devices.

The Emergency Notification system is intended to supplement, not replace information you will receive from television, radio and other sources. Additionally, there may be situations where direct communication from the county is simply not possible. We encourage citizens to develop and practice individual and family emergency planning.  For more information on emergency planning, please visit the StanEmergency/Plans page.
